Interested in becoming a mentor? Attend one of our interest sessions, on April 6 at 7PM in Business Building 106 and April 7 at 7PM in Business Building 123!
We are a selective group of high achieving, upperclass students within The College of New Jersey's School of Business. Our primary responsibility is to lead mentorship activities within the BUS 099 seminar, where we guide new students through their first semester with seminars, workshops, projects, and other creative activities. We place a major emphasis on building networking skills to craft lasting relationships at all levels. In addition to our work with first-year students, the Peer Mentors work to actively serve the community and develop our own strong relationships amongst ourselves, our alumni, and with the Business School administration.
The CEO Peer Mentor Program assigns six to eight first-year students to each mentor, and mentor work in groups of two. The mentors meet on Wednesday mornings, and attend BUS 099 biweekly. Sessions with freshmen are typically held in Business Building classrooms, and consist of general information sessions about life at The College and campus resources, as well as the projects that are described in detail on the "Activities" page. While most of the program's activities take place during the fall semester, activities with freshmen and amongst mentors are held during the spring as well.
